Idea Studio Nepal

26 People

Childreach Nepal with the collaboration of Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM), Meeting Point, UNICEF Nepal Country Office, the private sector, the media, and development partners, seek to support a growing community of social innovators in Nepal by opening the first Idea Studio. The Idea Studio initiative was conceived to encourage and empower social innovators to come forward with creative and innovative ideas that can address social issues faced in local communities. Idea Studio has created a platform to turn promising ideas into solutions and ultimately ignite social change and unlock potential with a view towards cultivating and encouraging thoughtful entrepreneurship.

The process starts with calls for innovative ideas across Nepal. The candidates are shortlisted and mentored by renowned business leaders at the Incubator, the first of its kind in Nepal, established on the premises of Kathmandu University. The best ideas nurtured at the Incubator will be showcased on national television, where business leaders interested in the ideas partner with the innovators to put sustainable solutions in place. Idea Studio is committed to seeing the selected projects from inception through till completion.

To help intrepid entrepreneurs with original ideas solve social issues, help unlock their potential, and ultimately ignite a social change movement through innovation.
