The Meera Centre is a community based Early Childhood Development (ECD) centre that provides services to the community to offer a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment essential or the holistic development of children under 5 years of age.

Meera Centre aims to increase children’s access to quality ECD facilities, focusing on aspects of stimulating and appropriate environment in terms of care, education and health care. The programmes for children below 3 years of age aims to provide exposure to concepts of education and health care services. Similarly, the programmes for children aged 4-5 years focuses on supporting them in transitioning to school and preventing drop out. Likewise, one of the main goals of the centre is to increase the knowledge of parents/care-takers on best parenting practices for home-based parental support, and to create a ‘one-stop shop’ of information and advice on services for children and families, while also facilitating outreach for the community.
