Tshering Lama

Country Director

Tshering graduated from Northumbria University with a BSc (Hons) in Health Development Studies, a Masters in Public Health and a Ph.D. in Telemedicine. He was awarded the first ever Lord Glenamara International Scholarship for his efforts to improve public health and the environment through volunteering. He first got to know Childreach International in 2006 after meeting one of its founding members. Tshering enjoys playing table tennis, travelling, networking and public speaking.

Urgen Lama

Programme Manager

Urgen's passion lies in adding value to the community and helping children. All of our child protection programmes are carefully monitored and nurtured by him. He is also interested in agriculture and social entrepreneurship, whilst passionately fighting against the trafficking of girls in Nepal.


Simone Joshi

Operations Manager(Finance and HR)

Simone has a key role in the organisation which includes financial planning, budgeting and monitoring, financial controlling and reporting, and fund management. She is also responsible for looking after all HR-related issues, including recruitment, employee engagement and professional development and guidance. Simone loves meeting people from other organisations and enjoys a long cycle ride or drive.


Prateek Syangden

Programme Coordinator(Child Protection)

Prateek is the face of My School My Voice Nepal and the Sports Initiative, and is the catalyst for its success. He constantly seeks new training to expand his knowledge and better implement the programmes. He is sincere, hardworking and believes in his cause.


Roshan Shrestha

Programme Coordinator (Education)

Currently doing his Masters degree in education, Roshan believes in impacting policy and is very focused on qualitative and quantitive data to assess our impact in Nepal. He has recently completed a 6 month secondment at the Ministry of Education with Dr. Lava Deo Awasti where he supported in impacting policy level after grass roots needs assessments.


Jiten Shrestha

Programme Manager(Idea Studio)

Jiten believes in social entrepreneurship and runs the Idea Studio programme. He is a phenomenally talented graphic designer and mathematics whizz. He helps the programmes team to assemble their budgets.


Rashmi Bhiksu

Programme Coordinator(Health and Science)

Rashmi is a trained nurse, and she has tailored our heath programmes to put schools at the heart of community development. She also works with the teachers in our Science Initiative to demonstrate how science and health are linked. She believes in service towards humanity. During the earthquake in 2015, she was in Sermathang, where she helped to deliver her first baby without medical support and provided first aid to a village of 200 people.


Anamika Subba

Outreach Officer

After demonstrating her skills, commitment and leadership as an intern during the earthquake, Anamika now successfully coordinates the construction of our new classrooms in Sindhupalchowl. She is amazing in the field and works tirelessly to ensure that children can return to education.


Mandira Tripathi

Academic Programmes and Administrative Liaison Officer

Having just finished her undergraduate degree, Mandira is passionate about learning and knowledge creation. She runs both our Graduate Student Research Grant and Students in Community initiative with verve and commitment.

Gaurav Kandel

Programme Coordinator (Idea Studio)

Since the age of 13 Gaurav was involved in youth activism, he currently is involved in diverse fields of development and is associated with several national and international organizations such as United Nations Youth and Students Association Nepal-UNYSAN along with US Embassy's Youth Advisory Council Nepal and others. Also an active blogger and media enthusiast, Gaurav leads several leadership workshops as well as creative forums. He has been and a pro active development campaigner and acknowleged for his contribution in several national as well as international campaigns. Gaurav contributes as Regional Leader for South Asia at Global Shapers Community led project Shape Love together with outreach relations as Shaper at Kathmandu Hub. Gaurav currently coordinates the programmes and initiatives of Idea Studio Nepal. He can be reached at gaurav@ideastudio.org.np


Nibedita Sharma

Communications Officer

Nibedita has completed her masters and is now currently studying her M. Phil in Education. She writes our reports and manages the Nepali communications because she loves to write. She is also a talented researcher. She is an invaluable voice when constructing programme methodology regarding education, in particular early childhood development.


Prabin Khadka

Operations Officer

Prabin works in our Operations team and is passionate about technology. As a highly skilled technician, he believes strongly in structured systems and is constantly working to make the Nepali office more effective. He is energetic, focused and keeps the office supplied with endless snacks.
