“Students into Community” (SIC) is a student voluntary placement program to provide volunteering opportunities for University students to participate in community service. It is an educational approach that aims to integrate the students towards a common outcome that is mutually beneficial by fostering students’ connection between their classroom and real world setting while using their skills/expertise in developing the communities. 	Colorful Change Making: Get involved in one of Childreach Nepal’s exciting project, Meera Centre, a community based Early Childhood Development centre offering a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment essential for the holistic development of children under 5 years of age. What to expect: You will be placed in one of our biggest projects where you will be helping with some proper hands-on work, such as painting the classroom, improving the existing playground by smaller construction work or other improvements that will help create a more enjoyable space for children to play in. You will be supervised by a Childreach Nepal representative and/or a professional expert if the task so requires. Accommodation: You will be staying with a local family in a home stay where you also will share meals with the family and get a local experience.
Rural Placement: You will be directly involved in the current ongoing projects of Childreach Nepal. Local school development and other local initiatives currently running at your time of volunteering. What to expect: The projects would be out in the rural communities of Nepal involving some physical work of some sort, such as helping building a greenhouse, prepare for farming or harvest, helping with school construction work.You will be supervised by a Childreach Nepal representative and/or a professional expert if the task so requires. Accommodation: You will be staying with a local family in a home stay where you also will share meals with the family and get a local experience.
	Total Experience: Are you dreaming of creating an impact and making a difference in rural areas of Nepal by being a part of the community? You want to come back home with amazing memories and experience of spending time away from your urban life to the rural mountainous beauty? What to expect: We are looking for volunteers to help us with our projects out in the villages and communities around central Nepal. The tasks are big and small and can be performed by anyone with normal fitness and health. You just need to bring a smile, a great attitude and be ready to get straight into it!
