Learning in Delhi: On-field Purposeful Play training

In February 2026, our Assistant Program Officer Pooja Rana Magar joined the Coaches Across Continents On-field Purposeful Play Coach Education Programme in Delhi, India, as a Community Purposeful Play Coach.

Over four days, sessions covered climate change, child safeguarding education, mental health, menstrual health and rights, inclusive sport and the role of coaches in creating safe spaces. On the final day the sessions were led by community coaches themselves, and Pooja co-led a session on climate change.

Pooja says the training deepened her confidence in leading and adapting Purposeful Play games, linking games to life skills, and strengthening safeguarding, child rights and inclusion, all of which feed into our national Child SAFE Education campaign.
