Climbing Lhotse for Childreach Nepal

Supporter Simon Ferrier-May flew to Kathmandu on 18 April 2026 to begin a six-week expedition to Lhotse (8,516 m), the fourth-highest mountain in the world, raising money for Childreach Nepal along the way.

Lhotse shares its base camp and much of its route with Everest, but its upper section is steeper and more technical. Simon, who summited Everest in 2021, planned to climb without supplemental oxygen if conditions allowed.
